Husk Pellet
HPN is producing temperate “husk pellet” (capacity: 20 ton/day). The pellet production is intended to serve:
- Thousands of households in inner terai and urban areas who use tier 3 or above MICS
- Local industries using coal and other forms of fuel for boiler.
The other objectives of promoting this technology are:
- To provide alternative biomass energy solution of firewood for the MICS user in peri-urban and terai communities facing limited supply of fire woods, and
- To help in reducing use of animal dung in terai
Nepal’s first husk pellet producer.
Material: Rice Husks
Uses: Rice Husk Pellet can be burned in pellet stove, furnace, industrial boiler and other heating appliances.
Size: 10 mm in diameter and 1⁄2″ – 3″ in length Packet Weight: 20 Kg sack.
